General Equipment
Our motorhomes all come with a flat screen TV and DVD player, as well as a toilet, microwave and hobs. Also included is kitchen equipment such as plates, bowls, cutlery, toaster, kettle, cooking utensils, chopping board, glasses, cups, mugs, frying pan, saucepan, pots, baking tray, baking dish, tea towel and can opener.

1. General
1. All rates quoted in this document are inclusive of UK Value Added Tax (VAT) and are in Great British Pounds (GBP).
2. Rental basis is per calendar day. When calculating the number of days a vehicle is rented, the day of pick-up is counted as day one of the rental. The day of the vehicle’s return is counted as the final day of the rental. Vehicles are required to be collected and returned within business hours unless arranged otherwise.
3. Minimum rental periods are subject to change during peak periods.
4. These rates and terms may not apply to rentals exceeding 60 days, which includes multihires. Requests for quotes/bookings of more than 60 days should be directed first to Abuzzy.
5. All rates and conditions are subject to change as required and without prior notification. After the booking deposit has been received, the hire rates are fixed for the rental period booked.

2. Driving Licence
All drivers must meet the following mandatory conditions:

1. All drivers must be between 25 and 70 years of age.
2. All drivers must produce their full domestic driving licence plus 2 other forms of identification, one should bear their photo, signature and full address and all drivers must be present at the time of hire to sign the insurance documents and hire agreement.
3. All drivers must have held a full driving licence and have had driving experience over the last 36 months.
4. Visitors from abroad must produce a full domestic licence from their resident country or international driving license. One of these must be in the English language or approved translation.

3 . Insurance
3.1 Abuzzy Standard Insurance
This is included in the hire charge whereby all Motorhomes are insured for certain damage to the Motorhome and third party property. The hirer is responsible for the first amount towards the repairs to the Motorhome and any third party property (the excess) The exclusions in note 1 below are not included within this insurance.

The Damage Bond Deposit is debited to your credit card before the vehicle is collected and held as your excess. For this reason it is important that your credit card has sufficient funds available so as not to exceed your withdrawal allowance. If a credit card is not able to be used for this prior to Motorhome collection, alternative payment methods must be made, otherwise the Motorhome can not be released for hire.

Should the Motorhome be involved in an accident, the excess is applicable regardless of who is at fault and must be paid at the time the accident report is completed, not at the completion of the rental. The excess will be refunded if Abuzzy is successful in recovering the cost of the damages from the Third Party. Please note that Third Party claims can take months to resolve. The excess applies in respect of each claim, not the rental.

The Damage Bond Deposit will be refunded by credit card refund, postal cheque or internet bank transfer, or other agreed method if the Motorhome is returned on time, undamaged, clean, toilet emptied and gas bottles fully charged and fuel tank full.

The insurance excess is reduced if either of the following insurance reductions are accepted and paid for at the time of booking the Motorhome.

3.2  Abuzzy Reduction 1 Insurance
By paying the following additional daily insurance detailed below, the Insurance Excess and Damage Bond Deposit is reduced as detailed below.

3.3 Abuzzy Reduction 2 Insurance
By paying an even larger additional daily insurance detailed below, the Insurance Excess and Damage Bond Deposit is further reduced as detailed below.

3.4 Rental Vehicle Insurance Exclusions
All Insurance cover will be made void and the hirer is responsible for the full repairs if any of the following ‘Exclusions’ are breached:

1. Any water related damage which includes, but is not limited to, any Motorhome submersion, creek or river crossing, driving through low plain flooded areas, beach driving.
2. Personal belongings. Abuzzy recommends the hirer does not leave valuables in the Motorhome and if so that they have insurance to cover for the loss/damage of personal belongings. Travel insurance is recommended which will cover cancellation costs, personal luggage, money loss, personal accident and medical expenses.
3. Any damage caused by willful misconduct (e.g. sitting or standing on the bonnet or roof of the Motorhome).
4. Damage resulting from driving on any gravel roads. Abuzzy reserves the right at its sole discretion to restrict Motorhome movements in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions.
5. Any Motorhome overhead or underbody damage.
6. A single vehicle roll over occurs.
7. Windscreen and tyre damage and recovery costs (This is not applicable for Abuzzy Reduction 2 Insurance, as the insurance in this case covers this), theft only if Motorhome is not locked or the Motorhome keys are used, fire if caused by leaving appliances on, break-in or vandalism.
8. Any damage caused while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
9. The Customer will be liable for any costs associated with the incorrect use of fuel or the use of Bio- Diesel which should not be used (fuel being diesel or petrol), or water or other contamination of fuel.
10. The cost to retrieve or recover a Motorhome, which may include, but is not limited to a Motorhome that has become bogged, submerged or has been abandoned.
11. The cost to replace keys, which have been lost or retrieval of keys, which have been locked in a Motorhome.
12. The Motorhome rented may only be used to carry the maximum number of passengers as dictated by the Motorhome type. If more passengers are carried than what is allowed Abuzzy does not accept any liability.
13. Drivers not identified on the rental agreement and/or drivers that have a licence that has been cancelled or suspended and/or drivers who have a licence that is classified as a learners or probationary licence.
14. Where the damage is an Insurance Exclusion including any one of the above, the cost of the daily rental for the period the vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs shall be paid by the hirer.
15. Any damage to the inside of the Motorhome including broken fittings, appliances, windows, doors or cupboards, miss use of equipment to cause breakages, dents and major deformation, scratching etc. Children’s crayon, pencil or pen marks. Tares in fabric including bedding, curtains seats etc.
16. Any damage resulting from reversing the motorhome. Abuzzy recommends that when ever reversing is required that a passenger guides the driver from the rear of the Motorhome.
17. Theft of the Satellite GPS Navigation system or entertainment systems. To minimize the chance of theft the Navigation system and radio/CD faceplate should be placed out of site in a secure location.
18. That restricted roads near the Abuzzy depot include Woldingham road, Slines New road, Ledgers road and Washpond road.  Refer to the Abuzzy depot map for instructions on how to drive on suitably wide roads to get to and from the Abuzzy Woldingham depot.

3.5 Rental Vehicle Insurance Reduction 3 Additional Cover
Where the hire has a Insurance Reduction 2 or 3, up to one windscreen per rental and one tyre per week will be covered for accidental damage. Should these amounts be exceeded the cost to repair or replacement of the items will not be covered and will be the responsibility of the hirer.

3.6 Additional Insurance cover
The following insurance applies for Non UK and additional drivers:

1. Additional drivers to the hirer for UK only GBP4.00/day per driver, must have a clean drivers license. (maximum of 3 drivers in total)
2. Additional drivers to the hirer for Europe or Ireland GBP5.00/day per driver, must have a clean drivers license. (maximum of 3 drivers in total)
3. Non UK driving license GBP5.00/day per driver, must have a clean drivers license. (maximum of 3 drivers in total)

The following additional insurance applies for travel outside of England, Wales and Scotland:

1. Travel in Ireland (Includes both Northern and Southern Ireland) GBP11.00/day
2. Travel in Europe GBP15/day

3.7 Damage Bond Deposit (also referred to in the USA as deductible)
Upon vehicle collection, a Damage Bond Deposit is required. The amount is determined by the Insurance Option selected within sections 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4
For security purposes, it is preferable a credit card is used to provide a Motorhome security deposit unless agreed prior with Abuzzy. The credit card holder must be present and able to sign for the Motorhome security deposit upon vehicle collection. The credit card holder is jointly and severally liable for any damage to the rental Motorhome.
Damage Bond Deposit includes a 2% credit card administration fee when the credit card used is either a Visa or MasterCard. This administration fee is refunded when the bond is refunded. If the bond or part thereof is retained the administration fee is retained.
Debited bonds are subject to a 4.5% credit card administration fee in addition to the bond amount when the credit card used is an American Express card. This administration fee is not refunded when the bond is refunded.

4. Booking reservation
A booking reservation of 20% of the hire price is payable at the time of making the reservation and will be deducted from the total hire charge.

5. Cancellation Fee
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable. In addition to forfeiting your deposit, the following charges also apply:
• If cancelled more than 31 days prior to pick-up No Further Fee
• If cancelled from 30 to 10 days prior to pick-up 20% of Total Rental
• If cancelled 9 to 4 days prior to pick-up 50% of Total Rental
• If cancelled 3 days prior or one the day of pick up or No-Show 100% of Total Rental
• If vehicle is returned early for any reason what so ever no refund is available for the unused portion of the hire.

Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that clients ensure they take out the highest level of travel insurance. In many cases this will cover any losses incurred if you are forced to cancel your booking.

6. Hire Fee Payment details
Payment by internet banking, bank transfer, paypal or visa/master card (worldwide), Debit card (UK only) - details to be provided at time of booking confirmation.

7. Payment balance
The payment balance must be received 28 days before the collection date other than the Damage Bond Deposit. Insurance cover is advised to safeguard against this possibility of a late cancellation.
The Damage Bond Deposit must be paid no latter than 3 days before collecting the vehicle.

8. Collection and return
The motorhome shall be collected and then returned as detailed in the booking request unless special arrangements have been agreed with Abuzzy. Failure to return the motorhome on time will incur a surcharge of GBP30 per hour or part day in addition to the daily hire rate. Please return vehicle in a clean and undamaged condition. Abuzzy reserves the right to charge GBP30 if the toilet is not emptied and clean, GBP30 for each LPG bottle not fully charged, GBP30 if the inside of the motorhome is not clean (including the fridge, oven/grill, hobs and sink). Abuzzy also reserves the right to deduct from the Damage Bond Deposit, the cost of any repairs or cleaning that maybe required. Failing to return the motorhome at any time after the hire period, Abuzzy shall be entitled to repossess the motorhome and the hirer on demand shall pay for expenses incurred.

9. Diesel, oil and punctures
The motorhome is available with a specific level of diesel in the tank when setting off from the Abuzzy depot and is to be returned with a level of diesel in the tank no less than when setting off, otherwise a deduction will be made from the Damage Bond Deposit to cover the diesel top up. The hirer is responsible to carry out daily checks on oil, water levels and tyre pressure. Any punctures or tyre damage are at the hires expense unless covered under reduction 2 insurance option.

10. Breakdown or accident
In the event of a breakdown or accident, Breakdown assistance is at the disposal of the hirer by first ringing Abuzzy. Please note that the hirer will be charged for breakdown assistance and recovery if the fault is caused by the hirer. For Motorhome faults not attributable to the hirer, the hirer may give permission for repairs or replacement of parts at a cost up to GBP80 Abuzzy approval must be obtained in respect of repairs or replacement in excess of GBP80. The money will be refunded on production of a valid receipt. Abuzzy is not responsible for any consequential loss or expense subsequent to a breakdown. Every effort is made to ensure that all the motorhomes are in a safe and road worthy condition before they leave the premises, but Abuzzy shall be under no liability for third party claims or damages in connection with, or consequence to any breakdown or accident. In the event of an accident involving the motorhome a complete accident report must be made out immediately after the accident and handed to Abuzzy at the time of termination of the hire. All accidents or damage must be reported to Abuzzy. In the event of an accident please make sure you obtain all names and addresses and vehicle information of all third parties and their insurance details. Also any witnesses details if applicable and photos taken if able to. A sketch of the accident may be helpful. Do not admit liability. An accident report form is included within the Abuzzy Manual and should be completed for all accidents.

11. Car parking
Car parking is provided free to the hirer for the duration of the hire period if required (at owners risk).

12. Availability
If, due to circumstances beyond our control, the motorhome is not available, Abuzzy reserves the right to offer a suitable alternative motorhome. If this is not acceptable, or another motorhome is not available, the liability of Abuzzy will be limited to a refund of monies paid, and the hirer shall have no further claims against Abuzzy.

13. Cancellation by Abuzzy
Abuzzy may cancel the hire of the motorhome if, at the time of collection, the drivers licenses are invalid or not in accordance with this agreement.
This will be treated the same as a no show, whereby all hire fees will be forfeited to Abuzzy.

14. Fines
Any and all fines incurred by the hirer for the infringement of traffic laws or regulations shall be paid in full by the hirer, who indemnifies Abuzzy from any liabilities in such circumstances.

15. Smoking and pets
Smoking and pets are not permitted in any motorhome and any infringement of this condition will result in a loss of part of the Damage Bond Deposit. For the benefit of other users, your co-operation is most appreciated.
Some pets may be accepted if approved by Abuzzy at the time of booking. For approval contact us when the booking is confirmed.
If approved a pet cleaning fee of GBP100 will apply.

16. Competence
The hirer is expected to be familiar with the operation of the motorhome at the time of Motorhome collection. Any questions should be asked by the hirer and cleared by Abuzzy before driving off. By the hirer driving off, they accept that they are fully competent with the operation of the Motorhome.

17. Satellite GPS Navigation and driving Responsibility
Regardless of whether a Satellite GPS navigation system is used as part of the rental, or not, this does not make Abuzzy liable for any driving decisions resulting from the use of this system. The driver shall be ultimately responsible for all driving decisions, this includes
1. Avoiding driving on gravel roads
2. Avoiding driving along narrow roads that may result in damage to the motorhome and others
3. Avoiding driving along roads, or car parks, or any other off road facilities which have less than a 3.1 meter height restriction

18. Mileage
There is no charge for any mileage of less than 1,000 miles/week,. Any miles in excess of this will be charged at GBP0.40/mile.

19. Rights
Abuzzy reserves the right to vary rates, conditions and specification without notice. Abuzzy also reserves the right to refuse hire to any person. All rental agreements are subject to the standard terms and conditions of the agreements supplement as above.

20. DISCLAIMER
Illustrations and text in any of our documentation, brochures or website are subject to change. Images are a representation only of the vehicle depicted. Variances in the vehicles offered for rental may occur due to substitutions made by Abuzzy or modifications and/or upgrades to the vehicle design made by the manufacturer.


FAQs

Is a special licence required to drive?
No. A full motor car drivers licence is only required and this must be viewed by Abuzzy on vehicle collection. A non-english drivers permit must have a translation.

Is VAT and other taxes included in rentals?
Yes VAT is included in all charges quoted.

Can I take the rental out of the UK?
Yes you can take the vehicle to either Ireland or Europe, providing you declare this before collecting the vehicle and pay the additional insurance charges. These are detailed in the Terms and Conditions, as well as on the booking form when obtaining a quote.

Is there mileage restriction?
There is no mileage restriction, how ever there is an excess mileage surcharge when you travel more than 1,000 miles/week. Any miles in excess of this will be charged at GBP0.40/mile at the completion of your rental. In normal touring throughout the UK allowing for site seeing stops, this surcharge is not normally exceeded.

Can I pick up the motorhome on arrival at the airport?
Yes, if you have specified this on the booking form we will be there to met you and have the motorhome ready for you at either Heathrow or Gatwick airports. Other London airports, or delivery of the vehicle to your home is possible by special arrangement if required. This is normally at no extra charge within the greater London area.

Do I have to pay for additional drivers?
Yes, the standard rental allows for one driver, as extra drivers require additional insurance. These are detailed in the Terms and Conditions, as well as on the booking form when obtaining a quote.

Where in the UK can I stay in our motorhome?
There are plenty of places to stay which can fit in with your sight seeing itinerary Refer to the Travel Information section for details. The advantage of Abuzzy Motorhomes is that you are mobile and can make your accommodation fit with your holiday.

Are there any roads that I cannot drive on?
You should not drive on any gravel roads, as these are prone to accidents and in order to keep the hirer insurance costs down they are excluded form Insurance cover.

You should also try to avoid narrow roads as the motorhomes are slightly wider than a normal car, and when meeting a vehicle coming the other way can make it difficult to judge distances/ clearances. This may also put you in a situation where you may have to reverse the motorhome so the on coming vehicle can pass. Steep roads are also advisable to stay away from, parking on these roads also makes it uncomfortable to habitat the motorhome.

You also need to be carefully of overhanging tree branches which may scrape or even damage the top or side of the motorhome.

Roads with strong cross winds also need special care when driving any motorhome due to the high sideways wind resistance.

Is there a surcharge for credit cards?
Yes there is a surcharge for credit cards and Paypal, refer to the Terms and Conditions for these rates. Note that there is no surcharge when using UK Debit cards or by internet bank transfer.

Is Insurance included in my rental?
Yes Standard insurance is automatically included, however this requires a 2500 GBP damage bond deposit. If you would like to reduce the damage bond deposit, you need to select another insurance option. These are detailed in the Terms and Conditions.

In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.

Liability

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier’s rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.75% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.

A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Car rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 25.00
To add or remove extras to/from a confirmed booking: 10.00
Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 75.00
To add or remove extras to/from confirmed booking: 20.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.

General Equipment
Our motorhomes all come with a flat screen TV and DVD player, as well as a toilet, microwave and hobs. Also included is kitchen equipment such as plates, bowls, cutlery, toaster, kettle, cooking utensils, chopping board, glasses, cups, mugs, frying pan, saucepan, pots, baking tray, baking dish, tea towel and can opener.

1. General
1. All rates quoted in this document are inclusive of UK Value Added Tax (VAT) and are in Great British Pounds (GBP).
2. Rental basis is per calendar day. When calculating the number of days a vehicle is rented, the day of pick-up is counted as day one of the rental. The day of the vehicle’s return is counted as the final day of the rental. Vehicles are required to be collected and returned within business hours unless arranged otherwise.
3. Minimum rental periods are subject to change during peak periods.
4. These rates and terms may not apply to rentals exceeding 60 days, which includes multihires. Requests for quotes/bookings of more than 60 days should be directed first to Abuzzy.
5. All rates and conditions are subject to change as required and without prior notification. After the booking deposit has been received, the hire rates are fixed for the rental period booked.

2. Driving Licence
All drivers must meet the following mandatory conditions:

1. All drivers must be between 25 and 70 years of age.
2. All drivers must produce their full domestic driving licence plus 2 other forms of identification, one should bear their photo, signature and full address and all drivers must be present at the time of hire to sign the insurance documents and hire agreement.
3. All drivers must have held a full driving licence and have had driving experience over the last 36 months.
4. Visitors from abroad must produce a full domestic licence from their resident country or international driving license. One of these must be in the English language or approved translation.

3 . Insurance
3.1 Abuzzy Standard Insurance
This is included in the hire charge whereby all Motorhomes are insured for certain damage to the Motorhome and third party property. The hirer is responsible for the first amount towards the repairs to the Motorhome and any third party property (the excess) The exclusions in note 1 below are not included within this insurance.

The Damage Bond Deposit is debited to your credit card before the vehicle is collected and held as your excess. For this reason it is important that your credit card has sufficient funds available so as not to exceed your withdrawal allowance. If a credit card is not able to be used for this prior to Motorhome collection, alternative payment methods must be made, otherwise the Motorhome can not be released for hire.

Should the Motorhome be involved in an accident, the excess is applicable regardless of who is at fault and must be paid at the time the accident report is completed, not at the completion of the rental. The excess will be refunded if Abuzzy is successful in recovering the cost of the damages from the Third Party. Please note that Third Party claims can take months to resolve. The excess applies in respect of each claim, not the rental.

The Damage Bond Deposit will be refunded by credit card refund, postal cheque or internet bank transfer, or other agreed method if the Motorhome is returned on time, undamaged, clean, toilet emptied and gas bottles fully charged and fuel tank full.

The insurance excess is reduced if either of the following insurance reductions are accepted and paid for at the time of booking the Motorhome.

3.2  Abuzzy Reduction 1 Insurance
By paying the following additional daily insurance detailed below, the Insurance Excess and Damage Bond Deposit is reduced as detailed below.

3.3 Abuzzy Reduction 2 Insurance
By paying an even larger additional daily insurance detailed below, the Insurance Excess and Damage Bond Deposit is further reduced as detailed below.

3.4 Rental Vehicle Insurance Exclusions
All Insurance cover will be made void and the hirer is responsible for the full repairs if any of the following ‘Exclusions’ are breached:

1. Any water related damage which includes, but is not limited to, any Motorhome submersion, creek or river crossing, driving through low plain flooded areas, beach driving.
2. Personal belongings. Abuzzy recommends the hirer does not leave valuables in the Motorhome and if so that they have insurance to cover for the loss/damage of personal belongings. Travel insurance is recommended which will cover cancellation costs, personal luggage, money loss, personal accident and medical expenses.
3. Any damage caused by willful misconduct (e.g. sitting or standing on the bonnet or roof of the Motorhome).
4. Damage resulting from driving on any gravel roads. Abuzzy reserves the right at its sole discretion to restrict Motorhome movements in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions.
5. Any Motorhome overhead or underbody damage.
6. A single vehicle roll over occurs.
7. Windscreen and tyre damage and recovery costs (This is not applicable for Abuzzy Reduction 2 Insurance, as the insurance in this case covers this), theft only if Motorhome is not locked or the Motorhome keys are used, fire if caused by leaving appliances on, break-in or vandalism.
8. Any damage caused while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
9. The Customer will be liable for any costs associated with the incorrect use of fuel or the use of Bio- Diesel which should not be used (fuel being diesel or petrol), or water or other contamination of fuel.
10. The cost to retrieve or recover a Motorhome, which may include, but is not limited to a Motorhome that has become bogged, submerged or has been abandoned.
11. The cost to replace keys, which have been lost or retrieval of keys, which have been locked in a Motorhome.
12. The Motorhome rented may only be used to carry the maximum number of passengers as dictated by the Motorhome type. If more passengers are carried than what is allowed Abuzzy does not accept any liability.
13. Drivers not identified on the rental agreement and/or drivers that have a licence that has been cancelled or suspended and/or drivers who have a licence that is classified as a learners or probationary licence.
14. Where the damage is an Insurance Exclusion including any one of the above, the cost of the daily rental for the period the vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs shall be paid by the hirer.
15. Any damage to the inside of the Motorhome including broken fittings, appliances, windows, doors or cupboards, miss use of equipment to cause breakages, dents and major deformation, scratching etc. Children’s crayon, pencil or pen marks. Tares in fabric including bedding, curtains seats etc.
16. Any damage resulting from reversing the motorhome. Abuzzy recommends that when ever reversing is required that a passenger guides the driver from the rear of the Motorhome.
17. Theft of the Satellite GPS Navigation system or entertainment systems. To minimize the chance of theft the Navigation system and radio/CD faceplate should be placed out of site in a secure location.
18. That restricted roads near the Abuzzy depot include Woldingham road, Slines New road, Ledgers road and Washpond road.  Refer to the Abuzzy depot map for instructions on how to drive on suitably wide roads to get to and from the Abuzzy Woldingham depot.

3.5 Rental Vehicle Insurance Reduction 3 Additional Cover
Where the hire has a Insurance Reduction 2 or 3, up to one windscreen per rental and one tyre per week will be covered for accidental damage. Should these amounts be exceeded the cost to repair or replacement of the items will not be covered and will be the responsibility of the hirer.

3.6 Additional Insurance cover
The following insurance applies for Non UK and additional drivers:

1. Additional drivers to the hirer for UK only GBP4.00/day per driver, must have a clean drivers license. (maximum of 3 drivers in total)
2. Additional drivers to the hirer for Europe or Ireland GBP5.00/day per driver, must have a clean drivers license. (maximum of 3 drivers in total)
3. Non UK driving license GBP5.00/day per driver, must have a clean drivers license. (maximum of 3 drivers in total)

The following additional insurance applies for travel outside of England, Wales and Scotland:

1. Travel in Ireland (Includes both Northern and Southern Ireland) GBP11.00/day
2. Travel in Europe GBP15/day

3.7 Damage Bond Deposit (also referred to in the USA as deductible)
Upon vehicle collection, a Damage Bond Deposit is required. The amount is determined by the Insurance Option selected within sections 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4
For security purposes, it is preferable a credit card is used to provide a Motorhome security deposit unless agreed prior with Abuzzy. The credit card holder must be present and able to sign for the Motorhome security deposit upon vehicle collection. The credit card holder is jointly and severally liable for any damage to the rental Motorhome.
Damage Bond Deposit includes a 2% credit card administration fee when the credit card used is either a Visa or MasterCard. This administration fee is refunded when the bond is refunded. If the bond or part thereof is retained the administration fee is retained.
Debited bonds are subject to a 4.5% credit card administration fee in addition to the bond amount when the credit card used is an American Express card. This administration fee is not refunded when the bond is refunded.

4. Booking reservation
A booking reservation of 20% of the hire price is payable at the time of making the reservation and will be deducted from the total hire charge.

5. Cancellation Fee
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable. In addition to forfeiting your deposit, the following charges also apply:
• If cancelled more than 31 days prior to pick-up No Further Fee
• If cancelled from 30 to 10 days prior to pick-up 20% of Total Rental
• If cancelled 9 to 4 days prior to pick-up 50% of Total Rental
• If cancelled 3 days prior or one the day of pick up or No-Show 100% of Total Rental
• If vehicle is returned early for any reason what so ever no refund is available for the unused portion of the hire.

Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that clients ensure they take out the highest level of travel insurance. In many cases this will cover any losses incurred if you are forced to cancel your booking.

6. Hire Fee Payment details
Payment by internet banking, bank transfer, paypal or visa/master card (worldwide), Debit card (UK only) - details to be provided at time of booking confirmation.

7. Payment balance
The payment balance must be received 28 days before the collection date other than the Damage Bond Deposit. Insurance cover is advised to safeguard against this possibility of a late cancellation.
The Damage Bond Deposit must be paid no latter than 3 days before collecting the vehicle.

8. Collection and return
The motorhome shall be collected and then returned as detailed in the booking request unless special arrangements have been agreed with Abuzzy. Failure to return the motorhome on time will incur a surcharge of GBP30 per hour or part day in addition to the daily hire rate. Please return vehicle in a clean and undamaged condition. Abuzzy reserves the right to charge GBP30 if the toilet is not emptied and clean, GBP30 for each LPG bottle not fully charged, GBP30 if the inside of the motorhome is not clean (including the fridge, oven/grill, hobs and sink). Abuzzy also reserves the right to deduct from the Damage Bond Deposit, the cost of any repairs or cleaning that maybe required. Failing to return the motorhome at any time after the hire period, Abuzzy shall be entitled to repossess the motorhome and the hirer on demand shall pay for expenses incurred.

9. Diesel, oil and punctures
The motorhome is available with a specific level of diesel in the tank when setting off from the Abuzzy depot and is to be returned with a level of diesel in the tank no less than when setting off, otherwise a deduction will be made from the Damage Bond Deposit to cover the diesel top up. The hirer is responsible to carry out daily checks on oil, water levels and tyre pressure. Any punctures or tyre damage are at the hires expense unless covered under reduction 2 insurance option.

10. Breakdown or accident
In the event of a breakdown or accident, Breakdown assistance is at the disposal of the hirer by first ringing Abuzzy. Please note that the hirer will be charged for breakdown assistance and recovery if the fault is caused by the hirer. For Motorhome faults not attributable to the hirer, the hirer may give permission for repairs or replacement of parts at a cost up to GBP80 Abuzzy approval must be obtained in respect of repairs or replacement in excess of GBP80. The money will be refunded on production of a valid receipt. Abuzzy is not responsible for any consequential loss or expense subsequent to a breakdown. Every effort is made to ensure that all the motorhomes are in a safe and road worthy condition before they leave the premises, but Abuzzy shall be under no liability for third party claims or damages in connection with, or consequence to any breakdown or accident. In the event of an accident involving the motorhome a complete accident report must be made out immediately after the accident and handed to Abuzzy at the time of termination of the hire. All accidents or damage must be reported to Abuzzy. In the event of an accident please make sure you obtain all names and addresses and vehicle information of all third parties and their insurance details. Also any witnesses details if applicable and photos taken if able to. A sketch of the accident may be helpful. Do not admit liability. An accident report form is included within the Abuzzy Manual and should be completed for all accidents.

11. Car parking
Car parking is provided free to the hirer for the duration of the hire period if required (at owners risk).

12. Availability
If, due to circumstances beyond our control, the motorhome is not available, Abuzzy reserves the right to offer a suitable alternative motorhome. If this is not acceptable, or another motorhome is not available, the liability of Abuzzy will be limited to a refund of monies paid, and the hirer shall have no further claims against Abuzzy.

13. Cancellation by Abuzzy
Abuzzy may cancel the hire of the motorhome if, at the time of collection, the drivers licenses are invalid or not in accordance with this agreement.
This will be treated the same as a no show, whereby all hire fees will be forfeited to Abuzzy.

14. Fines
Any and all fines incurred by the hirer for the infringement of traffic laws or regulations shall be paid in full by the hirer, who indemnifies Abuzzy from any liabilities in such circumstances.

15. Smoking and pets
Smoking and pets are not permitted in any motorhome and any infringement of this condition will result in a loss of part of the Damage Bond Deposit. For the benefit of other users, your co-operation is most appreciated.
Some pets may be accepted if approved by Abuzzy at the time of booking. For approval contact us when the booking is confirmed.
If approved a pet cleaning fee of GBP100 will apply.

16. Competence
The hirer is expected to be familiar with the operation of the motorhome at the time of Motorhome collection. Any questions should be asked by the hirer and cleared by Abuzzy before driving off. By the hirer driving off, they accept that they are fully competent with the operation of the Motorhome.

17. Satellite GPS Navigation and driving Responsibility
Regardless of whether a Satellite GPS navigation system is used as part of the rental, or not, this does not make Abuzzy liable for any driving decisions resulting from the use of this system. The driver shall be ultimately responsible for all driving decisions, this includes
1. Avoiding driving on gravel roads
2. Avoiding driving along narrow roads that may result in damage to the motorhome and others
3. Avoiding driving along roads, or car parks, or any other off road facilities which have less than a 3.1 meter height restriction

18. Mileage
There is no charge for any mileage of less than 1,000 miles/week,. Any miles in excess of this will be charged at GBP0.40/mile.

19. Rights
Abuzzy reserves the right to vary rates, conditions and specification without notice. Abuzzy also reserves the right to refuse hire to any person. All rental agreements are subject to the standard terms and conditions of the agreements supplement as above.

20. DISCLAIMER
Illustrations and text in any of our documentation, brochures or website are subject to change. Images are a representation only of the vehicle depicted. Variances in the vehicles offered for rental may occur due to substitutions made by Abuzzy or modifications and/or upgrades to the vehicle design made by the manufacturer.


FAQs

Is a special licence required to drive?
No. A full motor car drivers licence is only required and this must be viewed by Abuzzy on vehicle collection. A non-english drivers permit must have a translation.

Is VAT and other taxes included in rentals?
Yes VAT is included in all charges quoted.

Can I take the rental out of the UK?
Yes you can take the vehicle to either Ireland or Europe, providing you declare this before collecting the vehicle and pay the additional insurance charges. These are detailed in the Terms and Conditions, as well as on the booking form when obtaining a quote.

Is there mileage restriction?
There is no mileage restriction, how ever there is an excess mileage surcharge when you travel more than 1,000 miles/week. Any miles in excess of this will be charged at GBP0.40/mile at the completion of your rental. In normal touring throughout the UK allowing for site seeing stops, this surcharge is not normally exceeded.

Can I pick up the motorhome on arrival at the airport?
Yes, if you have specified this on the booking form we will be there to met you and have the motorhome ready for you at either Heathrow or Gatwick airports. Other London airports, or delivery of the vehicle to your home is possible by special arrangement if required. This is normally at no extra charge within the greater London area.

Do I have to pay for additional drivers?
Yes, the standard rental allows for one driver, as extra drivers require additional insurance. These are detailed in the Terms and Conditions, as well as on the booking form when obtaining a quote.

Where in the UK can I stay in our motorhome?
There are plenty of places to stay which can fit in with your sight seeing itinerary Refer to the Travel Information section for details. The advantage of Abuzzy Motorhomes is that you are mobile and can make your accommodation fit with your holiday.

Are there any roads that I cannot drive on?
You should not drive on any gravel roads, as these are prone to accidents and in order to keep the hirer insurance costs down they are excluded form Insurance cover.

You should also try to avoid narrow roads as the motorhomes are slightly wider than a normal car, and when meeting a vehicle coming the other way can make it difficult to judge distances/ clearances. This may also put you in a situation where you may have to reverse the motorhome so the on coming vehicle can pass. Steep roads are also advisable to stay away from, parking on these roads also makes it uncomfortable to habitat the motorhome.

You also need to be carefully of overhanging tree branches which may scrape or even damage the top or side of the motorhome.

Roads with strong cross winds also need special care when driving any motorhome due to the high sideways wind resistance.

Is there a surcharge for credit cards?
Yes there is a surcharge for credit cards and Paypal, refer to the Terms and Conditions for these rates. Note that there is no surcharge when using UK Debit cards or by internet bank transfer.

Is Insurance included in my rental?
Yes Standard insurance is automatically included, however this requires a 2500 GBP damage bond deposit. If you would like to reduce the damage bond deposit, you need to select another insurance option. These are detailed in the Terms and Conditions.

Information disclaimer
The rates on this website are often heavily discounted. This is due to our negotiated rates and bulk buying power. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or a vehicle supplier's error. In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.

Liability
To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website.

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier’s rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.75% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.

A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Car rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 25.00
To add or remove extras to/from a confirmed booking: 10.00
Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 75.00
To add or remove extras to/from confirmed booking: 20.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Abuzzy Standard Insurance
This is included in the hire charge whereby all Motorhomes are insured for certain damage to the Motorhome and third party property. The hirer is responsible for the first amount towards the repairs to the Motorhome and any third party property (the excess) The exclusions in note 1 below are not included within this insurance.

The Damage Bond Deposit is debited to your credit card before the vehicle is collected and held as your excess. For this reason it is important that your credit card has sufficient funds available so as not to exceed your withdrawal allowance. If a credit card is not able to be used for this prior to Motorhome collection, alternative payment methods must be made, otherwise the Motorhome can not be released for hire.

Should the Motorhome be involved in an accident, the excess is applicable regardless of who is at fault and must be paid at the time the accident report is completed, not at the completion of the rental. The excess will be refunded if Abuzzy is successful in recovering the cost of the damages from the Third Party. Please note that Third Party claims can take months to resolve. The excess applies in respect of each claim, not the rental.

The Damage Bond Deposit will be refunded by credit card refund, postal cheque or internet bank transfer, or other agreed method if the Motorhome is returned on time, undamaged, clean, toilet emptied and gas bottles fully charged and fuel tank full.

The insurance excess is reduced if either of the following insurance reductions are accepted and paid for at the time of booking the Motorhome.

Rental Vehicle Insurance Exclusions
All Insurance cover will be made void and the hirer is responsible for the full repairs if any of the following ‘Exclusions’ are breached:

1. Any water related damage which includes, but is not limited to, any Motorhome submersion, creek or river crossing, driving through low plain flooded areas, beach driving.
2. Personal belongings. Abuzzy recommends the hirer does not leave valuables in the Motorhome and if so that they have insurance to cover for the loss/damage of personal belongings. Travel insurance is recommended which will cover cancellation costs, personal luggage, money loss, personal accident and medical expenses.
3. Any damage caused by willful misconduct (e.g. sitting or standing on the bonnet or roof of the Motorhome).
4. Damage resulting from driving on any gravel roads. Abuzzy reserves the right at its sole discretion to restrict Motorhome movements in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions.
5. Any Motorhome overhead or underbody damage.
6. A single vehicle roll over occurs.
7. Windscreen and tyre damage and recovery costs (This is not applicable for Abuzzy Reduction 2 Insurance, as the insurance in this case covers this), theft only if Motorhome is not locked or the Motorhome keys are used, fire if caused by leaving appliances on, break-in or vandalism.
8. Any damage caused while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
9. The Customer will be liable for any costs associated with the incorrect use of fuel or the use of Bio- Diesel which should not be used (fuel being diesel or petrol), or water or other contamination of fuel.
10. The cost to retrieve or recover a Motorhome, which may include, but is not limited to a Motorhome that has become bogged, submerged or has been abandoned.
11. The cost to replace keys, which have been lost or retrieval of keys, which have been locked in a Motorhome.
12. The Motorhome rented may only be used to carry the maximum number of passengers as dictated by the Motorhome type. If more passengers are carried than what is allowed Abuzzy does not accept any liability.
13. Drivers not identified on the rental agreement and/or drivers that have a licence that has been cancelled or suspended and/or drivers who have a licence that is classified as a learners or probationary licence.
14. Where the damage is an Insurance Exclusion including any one of the above, the cost of the daily rental for the period the vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs shall be paid by the hirer.
15. Any damage to the inside of the Motorhome including broken fittings, appliances, windows, doors or cupboards, miss use of equipment to cause breakages, dents and major deformation, scratching etc. Children’s crayon, pencil or pen marks. Tares in fabric including bedding, curtains seats etc.
16. Any damage resulting from reversing the motorhome. Abuzzy recommends that when ever reversing is required that a passenger guides the driver from the rear of the Motorhome.
17. Theft of the Satellite GPS Navigation system or entertainment systems. To minimize the chance of theft the Navigation system and radio/CD faceplate should be placed out of site in a secure location.
18. That restricted roads near the Abuzzy depot include Woldingham road, Slines New road, Ledgers road and Washpond road.  Refer to the Abuzzy depot map for instructions on how to drive on suitably wide roads to get to and from the Abuzzy Woldingham depot.

Rental Vehicle Insurance Reduction 3 Additional Cover
Where the hire has a Insurance Reduction 2 or 3, up to one windscreen per rental and one tyre per week will be covered for accidental damage. Should these amounts be exceeded the cost to repair or replacement of the items will not be covered and will be the responsibility of the hirer.

Additional Insurance cover
The following insurance applies for Non UK and additional drivers:

1. Additional drivers to the hirer for UK only GBP4.00/day per driver, must have a clean drivers license. (maximum of 3 drivers in total)
2. Additional drivers to the hirer for Europe or Ireland GBP5.00/day per driver, must have a clean drivers license. (maximum of 3 drivers in total)
3. Non UK driving license GBP5.00/day per driver, must have a clean drivers license. (maximum of 3 drivers in total)

The following additional insurance applies for travel outside of England, Wales and Scotland:

1. Travel in Ireland (Includes both Northern and Southern Ireland) GBP11.00/day
2. Travel in Europe GBP15/day
